Elly Clibbens is a Bristol-based, multi-skilled circus performer and teacher, with over twelve years professional experience. She specialises in aerial and hula hoop alongside fire shows, LED and walkabout performances. Since graduating from Circomedia with an FdA in Contemporary Circus and Physical Performance in 2011, she has continued to constantly develop her performance skills, finding unusual aerial equipment, exploring the latest LED technology, and how to fit as many hula hoops as possible on her body. In 2019, she won the South West Aerial Championship with her doubles aerial hoop partner, and has subsequently sat on the judging panel.

Elly is passionate about teaching and believes there is something in circus for everyone. Her wide range of circus skills, including balancing, juggling, acrobatics and manipulation, enables her to teach varied and dynamic classes. She is qualified as a Personal Trainer and an Xpert Aerial Hoop Instructor. Elly teaches youth circus for Circomedia, aerial and pole fitness for Pink Kitten Dance School, and runs weekly adult evening hula hoop classes in Bristol. She has worked extensively on outreach projects delivering circus skills to diverse community groups who would not usually be able to access them, including people with disabilities or additional needs. This has prompted her to explore alternative ways of experiencing circus equipment.
